Intellectual Property

084

Intellectual property is really like no other as they offer creators, owners, trademarks or
copyrighted works to benefit from their own work or investment in a creation. These rights apply to a person/persons over their creations of the mind, inventions, literary, artistic works, symbols and images used in commerce.

Industrial property is purely to encourage innovation, design and the creation of technology. The sole purpose for this is to create a protection barrier in case there is competitive investment in the development. The other side of copyright covers the rights literary authors and artistic works, such as; novels, poems, musical compositions and films.

How does this make you feel? Studying a subject you are constantly stealing other peoples work to create your own.. (You little DJ you). I personal think as a Graphic Designer I’m really concerned about this. The importance of keeping a journal of the creative process should be emphasised to anyone who creates a piece of work so that they can support themselves in the event of an infringement claim against them.

  1. Interesting post, it was helpful to read the specifics of intellectual property, and I liked your use of the memes, it kept me interested. I agree that we as creators should keep up to date with the content we are using and make sure we pay tribute to those that created original content. more hyperlinks and some more case studies into the subject would really drive this blog post, but overall I like your writing style. Here is an interesting watch on IP https://www.lynda.com/Business-Skills-tutorials/Intellectual-Property-Fundamentals/165636-2.html
