Lets go back the the NYPD’s hashtag boongoggle show casing how quickly things can go wrong.. having these big institutions trying to control messaging on the internet. I’m not saying research should be abandoned or meme disposed of altogether, but as the NYPD case and other examples show, the establishment isn’t really built for meme warfare.
